What Is a Dialysis Technician?
A dialysis care technician is a healthcare professional who works with patients who require kidney dialysis. Dialysis patient care technicians (also known as dialysis technicians or hemodialysis technicians) provide essential support services to patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment, including cleanings, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring that the patient is comfortable during their session.
They also help with other aspects of the treatment process, such as turning off and on machines, monitoring blood flow through tubes, collecting blood samples, and operating blood pressure cuffs and electrocardiogram (ECG) machines.
