What is Title IV Financial Aid?

Title IV refers to federal student aid programs authorized under the Higher Education Act. GMTTI's accreditation from ACCSC and our Title IV status means students can apply for Federal Pell Grants (which do not require repayment) and federal Direct Loans. Eligibility is based on FAFSA results, not credit score.

Federal Pell Grants — Free Money for Qualifying Students

Pell Grants are awarded to students with demonstrated financial need. They do not have to be repaid. For the 2025–2026 award year, the maximum Pell Grant is $7,395. For many GMTTI students — especially those from lower-income households — the Pell Grant covers a significant portion of tuition, reducing or eliminating out-of-pocket costs entirely.

Federal Student Loans

If your Pell Grant does not cover the full cost of tuition, federal Direct Loans may be available to fill the gap. Unlike private loans, federal loans offer flexible repayment options and fixed interest rates. Our admissions team explains all loan terms clearly before you sign anything.

Free FAFSA Assistance at GMTTI

Many students feel intimidated by the FAFSA process. GMTTI's bilingual admissions team walks you through every step — in English or Spanish — at no cost. We help you gather the documents you need, submit your application, and understand your award letter. You do not have to navigate this alone.

Who Qualifies for Financial Aid at GMTTI?

To qualify for Title IV aid, students generally need to: (1) have a high school diploma or GED, (2) be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, (3) have a valid Social Security number, (4) be enrolled in an eligible program. Our admissions team can help you determine your eligibility before you apply — no commitment required.
